Medex Expeditions
Currently there are no plans for any research expeditions due to the high costs of insurance.
Each expedition included a very wide range of projects, and often the findings are widely broadcast in the academic press. All research was conducted through Medical Expeditions which is a charity supported by Medex.
Established in 1992 Medical Expeditions acquired an internationally respected reputation for its research and educational work.
Unlike many similar research groups Medical Expeditions specialised in researching on relatively large sample groups over a long period of time. A typical expedition is comprised of 75 members exposed to altitude for 6 weeks.
